As a part of DST-SEED project grant to train on assembling , maintenance and repair of solar lanterns, lamps, and kissan torches was organised for participants from five panchayats Padla, Nevatalai, Singhwada, Devpura, and Kevarkhurd in the Jayasmand block of Udaipur district.
The project PI Dr Minal Bafna and Co-Pi Mr Nitin Kumar Jain shared that the trainees will not only learn to use the devices but also be provided with tools for marketing, potentially creating employment opportunities in their areas.Through this project, the use of solar energy in tribal areas will be promoted.
