Department of Physics came into existence in 1961 to run its UG courses. From 2006, the department is running both UG and PG courses to impart theoretical education along with specialised practical training in well-equipped laboratories providing a solid foundation in the essentials of futuristic technologies. The department has numerous state-of-the-art research facilities for teaching and research purpose. Department has a rich history of excellence and invites prominent scientists and scholars to inspire and guide students.
Dr. Minal Bafna (HOD, Physics) Ph.D., NET (JRF), M.Sc.
She has 23-years of teaching experience and has supervised 4 scholars for their Ph.D. attainment in field of material science. She has to her credit 42 research publications and above 100 conference presentations with 4 – BEST PAPER PRESENTATOR AWARDS and recipient of 12-national level awards. She has co-authored 27-books. She is executive member of IAPT-RC6. She has undertaken several administrative responsibilities and has served Convener of (i)‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshops’ – 8, (ii) Workshops on ‘Innovative Experiments in Physics’ – 7, (iii) Seminars – 22, (iv) Webinars & International Symposium – 7 (v) MOU – 2 .
Ms. Neha Motwani (CSIR NET-JRF, GATE, M.Sc., B.Ed.)
She has 2 years of teaching experience. She has completed her Masters in Physics from University of Rajasthan, with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics. Her research interest lies in Material science and high-temperature superconductivity.
Mr. Nitesh Kumar (Ph.D. Pursuing, M.Sc., B.Ed.)
He has 7 years teaching experience. He has published 5 Research Paper in International Journals and One Research Paper presented in International Conference . He has participated in 4 Workshop, One International Webinar and 3 Seminars. He has attended in IP Awareness/ Training programme and also participated in 2 Faculty Devlopment programs (FDPs). He has also attended skill development training programs in Renewable Energy (solar Systems). His research interest lies in Material sciences, Polymer composite and 2D Materials.
